Valdora Points: How to Earn Points With Vaults, Staking and Referrals

·8 Min·By Valdora Research

Key Takeaways

  • Valdora Points are a loyalty and rewards score.
  • You earn 4 ways: backdated history at half rate, up to 500 one-time start points, daily holding points and referrals
  • $1 in a vault earns 1 point a day. 100 ZIG staked earns 2 points a day.
  • Holding both a vault and staked ZIG gives a 1.25x combo multiplier, and each extra qualifying vault adds 0.1x to the breadth multiplier. The 2 are multiplied, e.g. 1.3 × 1.25 = 1.625x, with a cap of 2.0x.
  • New vaults open with a launch boost of 1.5x to 2x for 30 days on net new deposits, outside the cap.
  • Referrers earn 20% of their referrals' base points daily, plus bounties and milestone bonuses.
  • Points are scored per account, so linked wallets across chains count as 1 participant.
  • Withdrawing won’t remove the earned points. Vault exits take 60 to 120 days, so check terms before depositing.

What are Valdora Points?

Valdora Points are a loyalty and rewards score. They track what you've done with Valdora: USDC held in vaults, ZIG staked, and the people you bring to the platform.

Points accrue daily and show on the public Valdora leaderboard.

Points have no stated value. There is no conversion rate, no currency equivalent and no published pool size. Your score measures participation relative to the total points issued across all accounts.

There is no cap on points, per account or in total. Points display as whole numbers.

How Do You Earn Valdora Points?

There are 4 ways to earn:

Your points page shows all 4 sources separately, they add up to your total, and it lists the multipliers active on your account.

Do Early Users Get Credit for Past Activity?

Yes. If you staked ZIG or deposited into a vault before the campaign opened, that history counts at half weight:

  • $1 held in a vault earned 0.5 points per day
  • 1 ZIG staked earned 0.01 points per day

Staking history counts from the day liquid staking went live. Vault history counts from each vault's launch date.

Backdated points use raw balances. No multipliers apply to that period: no combo, no breadth and no launch boost.

Past activity earns points at half rate. Activity from launch onward earns points at the full rate.

What are The Start Points?

Every account can earn 500 start points, once:

  • 100 for connecting your first wallet
  • 100 for a verified follow of Valdora on X
  • 100 for your first deposit of any size
  • 200 when your cumulative deposits reach $10

Each X account can be bound to only 1 Valdora account. A verified follow of Valdora on X earns 100 points. Each X account can be linked to only 1 Valdora account.

How Do Holding Points Work?

Holding points come from the capital you keep in Valdora each day.

Vaults: 1 point per $1 per day. Valdora Vaults take USDC deposits and put them into a specific strategy. The Core Income Vault focuses on receivables-backed SME credit, and the Stablecoin Yield Vault on short-duration credit. The Valdora Vaults guide explains how each one works.

Staking: 2 points per 100 ZIG per day. When you stake ZIG, you receive stZIG and earn points on the quantity staked. ZIG price doesn't affect your points.

Your daily points are based on how long your balance stays in Valdora during each day (UTC). For example, if you deposit $1,000 at 12:00 UTC, it’s held for 12 of the day’s 24 hours. It counts as $500 for that day and earns 500 base points. From the next day on, the full $1,000 earns 1,000 base points a day.

Points update once a day. If you deposit at midday, your page shows an accruing state until the next update.

What Multipliers Apply to Valdora Points?

Multipliers apply to holding points only.

Combo multiplier: 1.25x. You get it when your account holds both staked ZIG and a vault position. The 2 positions can sit in different wallets. Combo applies to both your vault points and your staking points.

Breadth multiplier: +10% per extra vault. Each qualifying vault beyond your first adds 0.1x to your vault points.

A vault qualifies when it holds at least $10 and at least 5% of your total vault balance. The higher of those 2 thresholds applies. Tiny balances spread across many vaults won't count.

Combo and breadth together are capped at 2.0x.

Launch boost: up to 2x for 30 days. Each new vault opens with a boost of 1.5x to 2x, set per vault. The 30-day window starts on the vault’s launch date and is the same for every depositor. If you deposit on day 15, you get the boost for the remaining 15 days, not a fresh 30.

Valdora can also open a boost window on an existing vault. The boost applies only to net new deposits. Moving capital from one Valdora vault into a boosted one doesn't earn it. The launch boost sits outside the 2.0x cap, so accounts already at the cap still benefit.

Staking points get the combo multiplier only. Breadth and launch boosts apply to vault points.

How Do Referrals Earn Points?

Referrals earn in 3 ways.

Bounties:

  • 100 points when your referral connects an account
  • 400 points when they deposit $10 or more

Daily referral points: you earn 20% of your referral’s base points every day they keep earning. Base points are their vault points plus staking points, after their multipliers are applied. For example, if a referral earns 1,250 base points in a day, you earn 250. Nothing is taken from them. The override is calculated on their base points only, never on their own referral earnings.

Milestones, based on qualified referrals (people who deposited at least $10):

Each milestone pays once. Milestone awards are held for 7 days before they're confirmed.

Referral rules:

  • Referrals are direct only, with no second level
  • You can't refer yourself, including through any of your linked wallets
  • Circular referrals are blocked
  • Once a referral relationship is set, it doesn't change
  • A wallet that was already active before being linked can't be used to claim a referral bounty

Your referral view shows the structure and counts of your referrals. It doesn't show the points your referrals earn.

What Does a 30-day Score Look Like?

These examples use the default settings and assume each balance is held for the full 30 days. Every total includes the 500 start points, so each person has completed all 4 start tasks. The connector’s total also includes referral bounties and milestone bonuses. The early staker and early depositor totals include their backdated points at half rate, plus 30 days of holding points at the full rate.

The full stack math: 4 vaults gives 1.3x breadth, and staking adds 1.25x combo, for a combined 1.625x. That's 48,750 vault points, plus 15,000 staking points, plus 500 start points.

The connector earns 68,300 points in 30 days. Most of that, 60,000 points, comes from daily referral points: 20% of the 10,000 base points their 10 referrals earn each day, over 30 days. They also earn 5,000 points in referral bounties (100 + 400 for each of the 10 referrals) and 2,500 points in milestone bonuses (500 at 3 qualified referrals and 2,000 at 10). Their own $10 deposit adds 300 points over 30 days, and completing all 4 start tasks adds 500. The daily referral points keep coming for as long as the people they invited keep holding funds in vaults or staking ZIG.

How Are Points Counted Across Multiple Wallets?

Points are scored per account, and an account can link several wallets, including wallets on different chains.

  • Balances add up across all linked wallets
  • Breadth counts distinct vaults across the whole account
  • Start points are paid once per account
  • A newly linked wallet brings its full history, including backdated points

Linking combines what each wallet already earned, so the total stays the same. Once linked, a wallet can't move to another account.

What Happens to Points if I Withdraw?

You keep them. Points already earned are permanent. When you withdraw, your account stops earning points on that capital.

Check withdrawal terms before you deposit. Vault exits take 60 to 120 days. Read the strategy details first, for example in the Opportunistic Credit Vault guide or the Core Income Vault guide. Vault deposits carry strategy, credit, market, liquidity and smart contract risk. Points don't change that.

To exit a staking position instead, use Unstake ZIG.

What Does The Valdora Leaderboard Show?

The Valdora leaderboard shows 3 tabs and ranks every participant by total points:

  • Leaderboard: all participants ranked by total points
  • My Points: your own score and where it comes from
  • Refer & Earn: your referral link and referral activity

How Do I Start Earning Valdora Points?

  1. Connect your wallet on Valdora to claim your first 100 points.

FAQs

What are Valdora Points?

Valdora Points are a loyalty and rewards score that tracks your vault deposits, ZIG staking and referrals on Valdora.

How many points does a vault deposit earn?

Every $1 you hold in a Valdora Vault earns 1 point per day before multipliers. Combo, breadth and launch boosts can raise that rate.

How many points does staking ZIG earn?

Every 100 ZIG you stake earns 2 points per day, based on quantity rather than ZIG price. If you also hold a vault position, the 1.25x combo multiplier applies to those points.

Do I get points for activity before the campaign?

Yes. Vault deposits and ZIG staking from before the campaign opened are backdated at half rate, using raw balances with no multipliers applied.

Will I lose points if I withdraw?

No. Points you've already earned stay on your account permanently, and you only stop earning on the capital you withdraw.

Points parameters can be adjusted during the campaign. Points earned on past days keep the rates that applied when they were earned.
